Cultifrost is a leading producer of vegetarian burgers and was looking for a solution to improve the freezing process of their products. They wanted to efficiently place the burgers just coming out of the production machine into the freezer in rows of 8. The goal was to increase production capacity and make the best use of space in their facility.
Challenge
Manually placing the burgers in the freezer took Cultifrost a lot of time and effort. They wanted an automated system that could quickly and accurately place the burgers in rows, improving the efficiency of the freezing process. They also wanted to make the most efficient use of the available space in their production facility.
Solution
Ordelmans developed a customized conveyor system to meet the needs of Cultifrost . The system included a lane with a shooting nose that quickly retracts when the burgers arrive at the end of the lane. This causes the burgers to fall in rows onto the lane below, which then places the burgers on the freezer conveyor.
During the project, Ordelmans worked closely with Cultifrost to determine the most favorable arrangement of the machines, with the goal of saving as much space as possible. By making efficient use of available space, Cultifrost was able to increase production capacity without taking up additional space.
The implementation of Ordelmans 's efficient transportation system has brought several benefits to Cultifrost :
